Begging people to join it, only seems like it will push people away from it more, CudaTakMit. And I'm too busy with school to join and be active, and mostly everyone else is busy with school or work or both, too.
So, since I was required to sign up for two events this week, aside from the other stuff that I was required to go to, I decided to sign up to help set up the novelty fair and poster sale at 8am this morning, since I didn't have classes today anyway. And I had planned on going back to bed afterwards.
At the novelty fair, they had laptop cases, cell phone holders, iphone cases, ipad cases, and kindle cases that you could pick any picture off of the internet and have it put on there for free (because the school was already paying them to do it). And then there were corkboards.
Well, three of us showed up to help, one girl had class at 10 when it started, and me and the other girl didn't have classes. Me and the one that did have class were helping the poster sale people to begin with before the novelty fair started because I had to help with it when it did. The poster people were literally standing around doing nothing while coming up with ridiculous things for us to do, and the person over everything was getting really pissed at them.
So, finally, I got stuck standing for four hours straight at the novelty fair, using a weird iron press thing and putting everyone's pictures on things for them. It was kinda fun, the guy who I was helping was cool, but had his jerkish moments at times. I messed up in the beginning because I was still getting used to it, but surprisingly didn't burn myself, although I managed to hurt myself on the tape thing. But I didn't get to get a picture put on anything because, according to my friends I'm not assertive enough, but I really didn't mind. I did so many of them that I was ready to get out of there when 2pm finally came around.
