i have a question. sorry to use your topic. Is it possible to play psp games on a ps3?

Only if they are downloaded PSOne games (which can be played alone on the PSP or the PS3 - but you can use the same save file, i.e. can play FFVII or VIII [available in the store] portable, then transfer your save back to console later).
You can use your PSP as an extra controller pad, remote control and PS3 manager.

Recharge often, unlike the Ds which seems to retain date and time info no matter low long you don't use it the PSP diesn't sem to do that... every time I turn it on to play it, it always wants a date and time.

Haha, yeah, I tend to find it asks me for the date and time if I haven't turned it on for a while. But I think if you keep it really active, it doesn't have this issue.

You can use your PSP as an extra controller pad, remote control and PS3 manager.

How do you use it as an extra controller pad? Will it work with any game?

It says "Veritas". I drew this. I also did an awesome job cleaning it, wouldn't you say?

It's just strugglin to find a reason to use it most of the time...

I think you use a USB to USB2 cable like the one you use to recharge your PS3 remote or hook your PSP up to your laptop.

Again, I think it only works with PSOne games, or rather those ones that have no SIXAXIS input.

I bought mine several years ago with the intention of modding it.  I did so and it was awesome.  I wanted to play FFIX on it recently and...  and...  I must have stepped on my screen at one time and totally messed up the LCD screen.  My friend has a bricked PSP that someone left at his house so we are going to try and fix it one day.

I don't know how much they go for now or if you can even mod them, but it's a fairly solid handheld.

The PSP has limited WiFi capibility, so remote play would be impossible.  Be like trying to play a intense game through Remote Desktop. Doesn't work that way.

I see the PSP 3000 going at work, hardware only for about $169.99.  Bundles are about $200

As in firmware? I thought Sony tried to make it so you couldn't because of the whole piracy thing and if you attempted it on the new PSP it would just brick.

Don't hold that to me though, it's just what I've read somewhere ages ago so someone might have found a way around it.
