Congratulations on your 10th anniversary, Golden Sun! - In North America!

Golden Sun was released in Japan on August 1, 2001. It was released in North America on November 12, 2001, which is considered to be a more relevant date for the English speakers. (We initially thought it was officially released on November 11th, but an old official Nintendo page listed it as the 12th)

I still remember clearly reading about the first GS in some official GBA paper-thingy sent out by Nintendo. I remember reading the "review" out loud to my dad and telling him how cool it sounded and that is what I would want.

Saved many rainy summers.

I saw the commercials, which were righteously badass.
GS was a very advertised game, unlike Dark Dawn.

the only reason i ever saw the first two gs commercials was because i got curious, and looked hem up. I had never seen the games advertised.

Man these pictures are sooo good. Makes me want to do soem fanart for it. Oh guys, you think that because of the 7 year period between GS2 and 3 they should remake the 1st 2 games in one 3DS game and then make the 4th? Because personally I think we deserve it considering how long they made us wait. And I don't think it's a bad idea.

Nah not remakes. They could just release them on the Virtual Console or Shop or whatever it's called.

Well they probably will, but the thing is, I'd rather have a new experience of the same thing than to just loop a game I've literally played dozens of times within this 7-year period. Of course I think they could also wait to do the remake and do the 4th one, look at the graphics and data capacity and see if they could do a proper remake after the 4th one

which could also up their sales in a way because then people will be more likely to know what Golden Sun is because this franchise has a loooooong way to go before it's recognized at the level of the Square Enix RPG's. And that 7-year waiting period really does not help at all.
