Living in a Zombie World

[Spook]

Zed cranked back the lever on his strange weapon. A few more sharp reports from the barrel, a few more re-dead zombies. Just a few more to mop up. Aim... Finger ready... The head of the approaching target exploded. Zed relaxed. He had no more ammunition, and in any case his companions seemed to have it well under control. The mechanic holstered his gun, drew a large knife, and began to clean his fingernails.

[Doom]

A few dispatches later, and the alleyway was clear. And with no advancing zombies behind them, it was safe to say the town was purged. But Saren wanted more. He began slamming down the Axe on the de-reanimated bodies. "Kill them... All of them... They've ruined my life!" A few minutes later he was calm again. Clearly a world like this would impair ones sanity.

[Spook]

Zed had his knife readied warily the instant he heard their newest companion start to try and kill the corpses a third time. "Maybe you ought to take a breather?"

[Madd Hatter]

Triss glared at the man and grabbed his hand to stop him from bringing the ax down again.

"Have some respect for the dead. They may be monsters in undead but they were human in life. Do not pity yourself pity them. This virus ruined ALL Our lives but we're still alive. And we will find a way to florish again."

[Doom]

Saren looked at the two of them. "... I'm sorry. It's just... Since I've been looking for my sister, I've developed a bloodlust. I need to find her. Hopefully she's found a group like you all.

[Glacierstar]

Damian continued firing off into the distance. They had just made enough noise to attract everything within several miles of them.

"If we're done bonding then we should really get out of here we've got more closing in" he yelled out as he began calmly and hastily packing up.

[Harly]

"It's possible, but if she was, she's immune, as she hasn't gone zombie on us." He waited several seconds until the sounds of fighting stop, then showed ellie his arm,"If so, I'm glad I'm not the only one."

[Madd Hatter]

Triss sighed and started back to the car, kicking a severed zombie head into a trashcan with her thick boots. She sat on her bike and started to clean off her hatchet and bat. She glanced over at  the others and raised an eyebrow at Xander.

"You're not bitten are you? I don't want to have to watch ALL of you for zombiefication." Xander paused in lighting up and huffed at her. He fixed the cowboy hat on his head and looked at the others.

"Nah I'm clean...though I wonder how you managed to get out of getting bitten with a fighting style like that." Triss grinned and pulled up her pant leg to show an old, scarred over bite mark on her ankle.

"I'm immune and I take advantage of it."

[Harly]

"It certainly does allow for more freedom, but, zombification or not, those bites hurt!"

[Madd Hatter]

Triss nods and gets on her bike and pulls up her scarf and down her goggles. She grinned and laughs.

"A bite is a bite! But by now I'm used to pain." Xander snorts and smiles reassuringly at the children in the van, one of whom was huddled in the back.

"Yeah I would think so..."

[Doom]

"This town is so small. Have you all not thought about maybe fortifying it with fences?

[Madd Hatter]

Triss snorted and glanced back at the man.

"We're going somewhere more defensible. There's a national Park island off the coast of Florida with a small independent tourist town. I plan on going there."

[Doom]

"And if it's sealed off by inhabitants already?"

[Madd Hatter]

Triss snorted and started up her bike and gave the man a sardonic smile.

"There won't be...That place was shut down years ago after they found it was a home for a rare fish on it's coasts and any and all boating would disturb them and kill them. Now it's a ghost town. Just like the rest of this world." She took off slowly down the street; looking for a good motel that they could board up and sleep in for the night after clearing it out.
